TIPS has the ability for users to write comments on any media in the system, as well as the part, page, chapter and book levels of parts catalogs. They function much the same like a standard forum/thread on the internet.

A) Comments Section
The comments section will display as shown encompassed by section A in the screenshot.

B) Comment Text
Section B contains the actual comment text, as well as the buttons to create, edit and delete a comment.

C) Reply Section
Section C contains the replies to the comment that is highlighted from section E.

D) Add Reply
Click to add a new reply to the comment that is highlighted from section E.

E) Add Comment
Click to add a new comment for the media or part, page or chapter that is selected.

F) Comments List
Displays a list of comments for the media or part, page or chapter that is selected.

To Create a Comment

STEP 1) Click on the Comments button.

STEP 2) If you're in a parts catalog creating a comment, choose where you'd like the comment to go (part, page, chapter or book).

STEP 3) Click on the Add New Comment button as shown in Section E above.

STEP 4) Type in the subject for the comment, select your options, and type the comment.

STEP 5) Click on Submit

To Add a Reply to a Comment

STEP 1) Click on the Comments button.

STEP 2) If you're in a parts catalog creating a comment, choose where you'd like the comment to go (part, page, chapter or book).

STEP 3) Select the comment that you'd like to add a reply to from Section F above.

STEP 4) Click on the Add Reply button.

STEP 5) Type your reply and click Submit.
