The library is the default first screen that you will see when you first log into TIPS. It is made up of four sections:

A) Media Shelves List
B) Library Content Viewer
C) Library Content Views
D) Shelf Filters

The new TIPS Bookshelf release places all content in "Media Shelves" much like the way you would look for books in a library book case. The media shelves list contains:

• Latest News
• TIPS standard shelves:
• Search Results
• Recently Viewed - the recent items that you've viewed
• Recently Added - the recent items that have been added to the TIPS system
• The content category shelves:
• Parts Catalogs
• Technical Manuals
• Safety / Service Bulletins
• Training Materials
• Multimedia
• Custom Bookshelves - where you can create your own book shelves and place content into them for easy access!

The library content viewer is the central section of the screen that displays the items that are in your currently selected media shelf. For instance, if you have selected "Parts Catalogs" as your media shelf from the left hand list of media shelves, the library content viewer will display the items that are in the Parts Catalogs media shelf.

There are 3 different views you can choose from.

You can also filter the items that are displayed.

View Option 1: Tile

This view will display tiled icons of the results for the media shelf that you are currently viewing

This view will display a listing of the results for the media shelf that you are currently viewing.

View Option 3: Grid

This view will display a table (grid) of the results for the media shelf that you are currently viewing.

The new TIPS bookshelf viewer allows you to easily filter your results.

Note: If the shelf filters as shown in the picture aren't visible, click on the thin vertical bar on the far right of the screen that says "open shelf filters".

Simply type in or select a value for any of the filters and click on "apply filters" to apply them. You may apply more than one filter at a time.
